Food & Beverage Front of House Manager - 30 June 2010

Located in the beautiful central region of Lake Taupo, we are a busy venue offering a variety of accommodation styles in a beautiful setting plus a strong food & beverage department. We offer a full a la carte restaurant with relaxed restaurant style cuisine, plus a busy function, conference & wedding operation catering for groups of up to 150 people. Our ongoing commitment to our guest’s hotel wide, is to provide them with a memorable experience through genuine friendly & professional service and value for money.

This role is a key management role within our organisation. Reporting to the General Manager, the focus is to direct & lead the day to day operations of our front of house team for both the restaurant and function centre, to ensure an organised and smooth delivery to our guests. This includes, yet is not limited to, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, ongoing training & development, stock & beverage management and ensuring the efficient & profitable running of the department.  

You will ideally have previous front of house experience in the hospitality industry in both an a la carte restaurant and functions. You are a service professional who is extremely well organised and has a genuine desire to exceed the expectations of our guests. You are willing to graciously host our guests and also roll up your sleeves and take a hands on approach to ensure satisfaction.   

You are very well organised with the ability to prioritise efficiently & effectively to ensure a smooth delivery to our guests. You will have exceptional people skills which enable the daily liaison with your team, the Head Chef, the Events Team & our clients to ensure all events are well planned for and organised impeccably. All the while ensuring our guests are fully satisfied and dealing with any issues as they may arise.  This role is ideally suited to a person with a can-do attitude, a ‘star’ who is ready & willing to join a friendly team who are dedicated & committed to what they do with a passion.
