The Winery can be used as a pre dinner drinks venue for private groups who are then dining in the exclusive Winery Cellar Room, surrounded by 4,000 bottles of New Zealand wines.

Huka Block Pinot Noir 2006
Grown in the elevated and cooler climate of the central plateau, hand picked and lovingly aged in oak. Our Huka Block Pinot Noir displays typically burgundian characteristics of raspberry, dark cherry and hints of licorice on the palate, balanced with mild earthy tones. This light and refreshing styled pinot noir would wonderfully compliment lamb or red meat dishes.
Brookfield Block Sauvignon Blanc
This auvignon blanc was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel and displays aromas of stone fruit complemented with ripe passionfruit and gooseberry flavours on the palate.
Ngaruroro Block Unoaked Chardonnay
Hawkes Bay delivers great chardonnay year after year. Grown in the free draining soils near the Ngaruroro River, this unoaked chardonnay has under gone a cool, controlled fermentation process in stainless steel to maximize aroma and flavour. This unoaked chardonnay has lifted and lively citrus aromas and characteristics of crisp lime and lemon softening to pineapple on the palate.
Meanee Block Chardonnay
This chardonnay was fermented in stainless steel with 25% oak and 20% malolactic fermentation. It displays aromas of ripe peaches, pineapple and subtle oak on the nose and the palate is full bodied, citrusy, and peachy with buttery undertones.
Marlborough Block Pinot Rosé
This rosé is made from a young block of hand picked pinot noir grapes in Marlborough. The picked grapes were left to soak in their skins for 12 hours after harvest then the juice was pressed off and fermented at a controlled cool temperature. Specialty yeast from the Rhone Valley in France has been used and the resulting wine is delightfully fruity and soft with aromas of strawberries and cherries balanced with a dry finish on the palate.
Omahu Block Merlot Malbec
This predominant merlot is a wine of contemporary style that shows excellent ripe fruit, balance and complexity with aromas of dark plum, berry, and mocha chocolate. Ripe plums and blueberry, fine ‘coffee char’ oak fill the palate with soft tannins, finishing with lingering ripe plum and spice flavours.
Fernhill Block Merlot Cabernet
This Bordeaux styled wine has been aged in french oak barrels producing aromas of cherry and raspberry with smoky undertones and hints of mint. On the palate this wine displays flavours of plum and black olives with berry fruit and a touch of spice complimented by fine tannins.
Patatahi Block Gisborne Pinotage
Pinotage grapes for this wine were hand picked from the Parklands block in Gisborne. Fermented in open top vats using burgundy yeast, the wine was then matured for 10 months in oak. The resulting pinotage is a well-rounded wine with chocolate, cherry and leather aromas combine with a palate of blackberries, plums and hints of pepper. Firm ripe tannins provide a long smooth balanced finish.
Patatahi Block Gisborne Cabernet Franc Pinotage
Fermented in open top vats using Bordeaux yeast, this wine was matured for 10 months in a mixture of 1 year old and 3-4 year old American and French oak barrels. This is a spicy medium bodied wine combining damson plums and blackcurrants with christmas cake, chocolate, tobacco and smooth tannins. This wine can be enjoyed on its own or would compliment roast beef/lamb or Moroccan food.
Omahu Block Syrah
A combination of small open-topped and enclosed vessels were chosen for the fermentation of this wine, which was then aged in small french oak barriques. Aromas of black olive and freshly ground black pepper with hints of dark berry, leather and violet arouse the senses. The palate is balanced with toasty french oak and flavours of strawberry and blackberry combine to leave a warm finish.
Bird Block Late Harvest Pinot Noir
Every now and then a vintage lends itself to make late harvest wines. Well-ripened grapes are concentrated by some noble rot, while others just shrivel. It intensifies the flavours and adds to the natural sugars. concentrated tropical fruits and sweet tangelo flavours dominate with a fine citrus balance. (375mls)
Bird Block Late Harvest Muscat
With brilliant floral aromas on the nose and a superb palate of stone fruit balance with mild citrus tones, this dessert styled muscat will make the perfect accompaniment to any cheese board. (375mls)
